hi guys, thought i'd better post an intro seeing as everyone else is well, let me see, i've been "owned" by budgies for about 14 year now and can honestly say i still love them as much now as i did at the beginning, i didn't know i had to be wary of them yousee... bit by bit they stole my heart and the little beggers wont give it back LOL i colony bred for the first 7 year or so, rarely had any of the problems you hear about being "inevitable" with colony breeding but i opted to change to cage breeding about 6/7 year ago as i was keen to try my hand at selective breeding, glad i did as i just love mixing the different mutations/varieties to see what little beauties appear...this game never gets old for me i also keep and breed zebra, bengalese and hecks grassfinches, diamond doves and chinese painted quail...love them all but i dunno, budgies just have something extra special about them

Wow, you have had budgies a lot longer than me. I only got Monty and Eric in November 2009! I am a mere whipper-snapper!
