I always wondered if it was a he, she got a much stronger bite than Bert!. Will here Cere change colour if she comes into condition. Also, she is a bit smaller than Bert, I thought hens were larger ?

Yes her cere will change colour when she comes into condition, the size of hens and cocks is genetic nothing to do with sex.
