So, I hand tamed Akira today. (Yes!!!The 4th day!!) She never stays on my finger for long, and tends to really like her cage. And Akira doesn't like millet spray, so I rewarded her with greens instead.

Well done! Can we see a pic of Akira? She is an unusual budgie if she doesn't like millet! Maybe she needs a bit more time to discover its delights. Mine took about two weeks to pluck up the courage to approach it!

Thanks! She doesn't like blackberries, though...
And Akira not only dislikes spray millet...She is SCARED of it! When I took a bunch and hung it over her, she fluttered away...

Try her with a little piece - cut a small portion off with a pair of scissors. You put something that is bigger than her in the cage she has a right to freak.

Hezz is right. The man in the pet shop gave me a massive cuttlebone, even cut in half it was as big as Munchy. Try a small piece like Hezz suggests. Maybe pull off a bud sometime and hold it by the stalk between your thumb and forefinger and offer it to her that way, too? Great news that she likes her greens, though! And don't worry, budgies tend to prefer veg to fruit, although some like fruit. My own budgie despises fruit ^^ The look on his face when he tastes apple is priceless!

...Akira was 10 times bigger than the piece...But anyways, she nibbles on it now, although she still doesn't like it as a treat...She treats it as if it were a pellet. (Well, actually, I don't know how much Akira likes pellets)
