Now I've got ny new wee bud Ollie its made me think a lot of my other birds who have gone and I just wanted to say a few words about each of them. First of all was Vic. The best budgie I've ever had in fact the best budgie I've ever seen. He taught me how wonderful budgies can be. He just loved everyone and wanted to be involved in everything. He'd wake my daughter up for school in the morning by running up the bed covers and he loved to go in the shower with me. He could talk and sing wonderfully. He was just so special. Unfortunately Vic died roundabout his first birthday. He took ill one friday. He was being sick so we took him to the vet that afternoon who gave him an injection but he died on the monday. We only had him a short time but he made a huge impact. The next one was Jackie. He was a funny wee thing. He wasent as sociable as Vic but just as loveable. He loved to have a bath and liked to be out of his cage during the day sitting in his favourite places. But as soon as it started to get dark he went back into his cage and dident come out for the rest of the night even though the lights were on. He died aged six. Then it was Henry another blue budgie like Vic. Jackie was a grey colour. Henry was a lovely bird too. He loved to sit on your head a lot. My grandaughter was born when we had Henry and she just loved him. Even though she was only 18 months when he died she liked him to sit on her head. Henry took a fit and died at the bottom of his cage. It was quick but heartbreaking. Then it was Louie or lulu as he was affectionately known. Louie was very bonded with me and just loved to be wherever I was. If I wasent in the room he would sit with my son or husband but if I was in the room he wouldent look at them. He loved playing with his toys and sitting on the top of the telly. Wee Louie died last July and due to circumstances I just got my new friend yesterday and am looking forward to see how he progresses but I will always love and miss the others. RIP Vic, Jackie, Henry and Louie.
