I was advised by the vet to give Luee 2 x 20 minutes per day of a solution of 1ml to 250ml of water nebulized to treat any possible fungal infection.
When I went online to order some more F10 I realised the one I already have has detergent in it (that's what the D stands for).
Having done so already a few times (and for now obvious reasons had it all bubbling up out of the bit that delivers the vapour) I am now wondering if it is okay to use this for nebulizing.
I am getting no answer from vet's practice at the moment.
Have now managed to get through to vet who says it is okay. It does make a mess though - the detergent means it all bubbles up and spills out. I'm going to try to get some more of the one without detergent somewhere nearby although that might be difficult. I guess a useful point for myself and others is to pay attention to what the letters mean when buying this and other products!
As long as it is safe, that is the main thing. A pity about the cleaning up, but at least the birdies are okay with it!
We are not Vets, Avian or otherwise. If you have any serious doubts about your budgies' health an appointment with an Avian vet should always be your first point of call.
