I'm just back from the vet where the head honcho gave Woody his final injection, Luee was re-examined and Berry (who was really just along for the ride) was looked at too.
Woody: doing well and now signed off. Phew. In the last week he has resumed his previous noisy, bumptious, interrogative and amorous behaviour. (Oh, and apparently his poos are clear evidence of him eating pellets - "perfect Harrison's poo" everywhere - bigger, greener and a bit wormlike in form)
Luee: felt to be doing okay, breathing not really a concern and weight stable but has to have 5 more days of Baytril and nebulisation
Berry: although exactly resembling a French Moult budgie, vet said new feathers growing in look too normal for FM and so may not be. As he is a feather botherer as well an option would be to try collaring him for 12 weeks to see if he can grow a new set. Decision for further down the line though.
This feels so, so good.
But .... da da DA ... he also gave the go-ahead for me to introduce Woody and Charlie... Oh it has been such a long, long time and I was beginning to wonder if it would ever be possible!
As it happens I have a work deadline today so I fear I must be super-sensible and embark on this project tomorrow. Or maybe this evening if I get the work done (now have great incentive to stop fannying around though! )
