Thanks samwiseg - a very useful reference / link. I will keep it in my favourites and try my best to make sense of it and remember.... but there are so many variations and colour mutations. Zebra finches were so much easier.

Very few people realize that Cinnamon Grey budgies are very gorgeous. Wiggy is certainly on the top of list Grey is gorgeous! I have know idea why Wiggy is a "cinnamon" grey though.... either way he is a beaut. I contacted a breeder a few miles from me and asked if he had any greys as I would like to increase my little flock by two. I thought a grey would be just the job. I also rather fancy the idea of a yellow faced something or other to add variety. If only I knew / understood the colour varieties. It seems so complicated itll take me forever to catch on. Grey is the body color whereas cinnamon shows on the wing markings.
