Managed to get some nice photos of my new budgies today after taming exercises. No flash used. First is Allegretto, who I think may me male because he's more vocal than Nox. And this is Nox. They're still babies, between eight and ten weeks (I don't know exactly). Thank you. <3

I agree with Gaile, two boys. I don't think they are as young as you have been told though. You can see the iris ring in Nox's photo. Can't see in Alegretto's case, but he has no baby bars, so he has been through his first moult at least.

Lovely looking birds. I agree with Hezz. I think they are a bit big for being bubbies. No bars on their heads and beyond the nappie stage that's for sure. Two lads? If they have blue ceres they are....that's the way I tell.... although the blue develops quite slowly I believe.

Oh... Hm. Thats a bit annoying. :/ I bought them from a store that specialises in birds and gets their own birds from local breeders. The lady I spoke to told me they were all babies. That's going to make them harder to tame, isn't it? If they're not babies.

Hezz is right. The budgie with wing issue looks adult.

It possibly will make it harder to tame them, unfortunately. It really does depend on the personalities of the birds ...... some are so laid back that they don't stress much over anything, whereas others are so flighty it feels they will never settle.
