she was trying to remove it yesterday All mine are colour coded split rings but haven't had any removed Andy,they have been on a 11 months now, I could see this happening if one was put on an older bird perhaps?

Macy is a year old, when I checked the ring it did seem very soft,when she was on the swing yesterday she was trying to nibble it.

I've just had a look at the ring and it seems the plastic had a crack in it besides the split part so I think it was lose and came off with a little help from Macy ;D

I have seen these plastic rings. They have a small hairline crack in it and can be opened easily.
