We've had cats dumped near our property before, but it seems a few days ago somebody has dropped off a tiny kitten. She's been taking shelter in the tall stocks of our sunflowers, a bush of some sort, and under the leaves of a cucumber plant near the back porch. She is very shy and skittish, I've been going out to check on her every now and then. My grandfather gave us a small baggie of cat foot and put out a water dish for her. (He's my neighbor xD) I've pet her, but my grandfather is the one who is actually able to pet her without her freaking out. He owns two cats so I guess he's just better when it comes to approaching a feline friend. I hope we can keep her strong and alive, because the last drop-offs were two full grown cats that weren't too lucky. One of the cats got its head ran over and the male one was seen for a few days then never seen again, so I assumed he came to the end of his nine lives.

I wish people wouldn't dump animals! They have a much better success rate if taken to a refuge of some sort! This makes me rather angry. Sigh!

On the news today was a story of a little black Kitten just like that left on the London Underground train , they have called her Victoria because she was found at Victoria station. You just cant believe some people can you. It doesn't make it right but at least they left her where someone would see her and not just dumped her in the river which is pretty common .

Really hate seeing this happen, i cant understand why people are so heartless towards animals. RainbowFeathers you & your grandfather are doing a great job making sure this little kitty is ok.

My mother made the executive decision to bring her inside for a little while to let her get some cool air instead of that hot sticky humid summertime air. She seemed a little scared at first, but after petting her for awhile she warmed up to me and my mother. My mom took a nap with her and once she finished I decided to take the kitten to my room. She was purring with delight and was so content, but of course not long after she took a runny crap on my bed... She even stepped in it and got some on her leg. After that we put her back outside to give her some time. We plan to bring her back in later, my allergic brother even wants to pet her.
