Brodie and Bailey could be the same budgie. Bailey likes bells whether the cat collar ones or big ones on the end of toys. I put cat collar ones on the end of each arm of his swing. He loves trying to take them off.
Am trying to encourage him to do more and whenever he moves himself either for a toy or food (other than his seed) I either clap or say Yay'. He then does hat ever again.
I appreciate they are all different and he may be happy but also think buds like Bailey need a bit of 'guidance'. I keep feeling guilty when he is quiet.
Way back when growing up, we had a budgie. In those days, lamps had frilled shades. Often a shade would just drop. And yes there was our budgie at the top, having worked her way around it, picking. Or we would watch tv, and a face would appear as she climbed up from the floor to where our knees were.

tinksmum I'm having this problem too! I show Brodie his ball & play with it & he savages me! He has picked it up on a few occasions & we've played 'Fetch' (him throwing, me fetching!), but mostly he either ignores it or bites me really hard! I'm unsure if I should persist with the ball or to try him with something else, maybe he's just not into balls but maybe he just needs more time with it, so confusing to know isn't it?!

ffiscool, Brodie hasn't got the hang of swings yet! How did bailey discover it? I've showed Brodie it & he is intrigued, one foot will happily go on but the other one stays on me! He has flown onto the swing occasionally but naturally it swings a huge amount & he panics! I do think he needs guidance with toys, I have lots of things I want to try with him, including a couple of things ive made but am introducing them gradually.

I know, totally empathise. Bailey just came to play, went to bite me. I told him no so he flew off in a panic. But landed on the 'scary' rope perch. Still don't get why he a)panics b) doesn't recognise where he is flying. Once I get (fingers crossed) Bailey finger trained, am praying he sees them as nice helpful things, not what can be attacked

He didn't like the swing for ages. Then I added the bells and it suddenly became interesting. Before that he used to fly through it.
Took ages. But def the bells that did it

Well, short lived, but improving... Bailey came to the platform. This time I put the ball and dumbbells on the sofa arm which is just beneath. He jumped onto the arm, my finger was there so he stood on it! But seriously, his look was, ugh a finger, what am I doing!!! He flew off into another panic
Will try tmrw :-).

Im persisting, I tell you Mojo def takes after me, she stands her ground and doesnt fly off, I have a very stubborn little bud, I call her Minxy Mojo! She also has a habit of hoping onto my glasses when I talk to her and biting my eyebrows, I tell her no, she just shouts at me....disobedient too, christ girls are hard work haha However she is good at going back in her cage and is very inquisitive, she sems to like counters and buttons too, one fell into her bath while I was playing with her this afternoon and she had fun trying to get it out of the water, she is also good with her veggies too, basil is her fave so far. I thought she was a boy when I got her but her cere is now white at almost 11 wks old.

That made me laugh re your glasses. Sometimes when I talk to Bailey, he gets really annoyed with me and only stops shouting if I stop talking.
Baikey hasn't fancied a bath so far
