Hi all, As most of you know I am getting a new bird hopefully tonight or tomorrow. I have quite a few new toys that I had bought for Tink which were on his gym but he didnt really play with, there are both plastic & wood toys, I currently have them soaking in f10 solution, is it ok for my new bird to enjoy these toys? Or is it a big no-no?
Constructing n wiping down cage as I type...tooooo excited! Im like a kid at christmas here! ××

I don't imagine there would be a problem with this as Tink didn't have an infectious condition, did he? But I would see what others say.
How exciting for you! A whole new budgie chapter of your life is about to get underway!

Soaking toys in F10 would disinfect them, which should be fine for new budgie. Anyhow it depends on the dilution of F10SC.

The dilution was 2ml to 1ltre, read it on a vetinary site which said 2-4ml per litre was the ratio for disinfecting, I was worried of overdoing it so just did the lower amount.

Reusing toys isn't a problem, Helen. As long as everything is given a good clean, just like you would do from week to week, maybe a bit extra. Tink's condition wasn't contagious - that is where you would need to be super-careful. New budgie will probably adore Tink's old toys, they will already be broken in. Ohhhh, I'm getting excited for you!
