Just keep in mind that spinach does bind up calcium, keeping it from being absorbed. If they give their cuttlebone a flogging this may be why. mmmn Oops, sorry! that mmmnwas Smudge's contribution to the conversation. Not sure if it was foot or beak ..... beak I think.

So they had a little lettuce yesterday and liked that but I know it's not great too often so today we have on the menu: trill and then on the side strawberries with cress.

Yes, starrymist, broccoli seems to be a particular favourite for most of them. Unfortunately it isn't the sweetest smelling veggie. They will eat all parts of it too - leaves, stem and flowerettes. So anything you don't eat, the budgies will.
