I got told by someone that when you have roasted a chicken you can put the left over chicken carcass I'n the aviary for the birds to strip clear as it's good for them? Since I've never heard of it before i thought I'd ask of here first. So has anyone heard of it?

I asked Barrie about chicken, as my pet budgie loves it. He also told me that aviary budgies will strip a carcass.

Thanks Stacey so im guessing it's ok to give them i was concerned incase they choked on a small bone Given how accurate they are with their beaks and tongues, I shouldn't think they'd have a problem. See what the others say, if unsure.

I was friendly with a champion breeder in the 80s lways a sunday roast in the flight cage on a monday but I am convinced it made the birds more canabalistic, there was also a high protein supplement whick came in a brown paper bag it smelled like fish , same with that in my opinionbudgies are dessert birds so any protein was highly sought after

Cocked/boiled chicken is OK but not all the spices which come with it

My father used this weekly in his budgie flight for over 30 years.
