You have some very lovely chicks. I am sure you will be enjoying hand feeding. I love this picture. They managed to keep their hierarchy ;D

It's nice to hand-rear and see them grow but it's such hard work lol! Least these ones shouldn't imprint on me like Munchkin did

I know it is very hard, especially when you have to do this every few hours. But after seeing such lovely chicks, one thinks it's worth time and trouble By the way, what temperature do you keep your formula and how?

I test the formula on my wrist before feeding, I mix it in a glass and then place the glass in a dish of hot water to keep it warm whilst I'm feeding, giving it a good stir between each spoonful.
I don't use a thermometer I go by touch these days.

Lol I normally use Nutri Bird A19 High Energy however currently using Orlux as I am waiting for my Nutri Bird to arrive.
Have used Kaytee Exact but don't recommend it as I don't feel the chicks grow very well on it and it never seems to mix well for me.

They are gorgeous. Feathered up babies are the cutest thing ever.

If you can get something like prolyte c - www.junglegold.com/aviform-prolytec-p-228.htmlYou can mix a bit of this into the formula, we have done this in the past but with a good formula it is not needed. It is also handy to have somethnig like it on hand if a bird looks a bit off, add a bit into the water or on the food and it acts as a pick me up. Also if you ever need to hand-rear from day 1 for the first 24 hrs you don't feed the chick formula, we give a drop of warm water with a bit of this mixed in to keep the chick hydrated and also for the prolyte c to help ensure they have the right enzymes etc for digestion.

Thanks I will email them about this one too. I have already emailed them a few questions about the products I am going to order but the response is very slow.
