After a crap first 2 months of breeding with nothing but blank eggs and 1 dead hen its gone mad.
I have 4 pairs down .i have been away for a week on holiday and before i left i had
1 pair with 5 chicks
1 pair with 4 chicks
1 pair with 4 chicks and still on 1 egg
and 1 pair with one chick but still on 5 eggs.
Got home tonight and checked the birds to find out the remaining eggs have hatched apart from 1.
Im just hoping the the hens and cocks can cope...wish i had put some spare pairs down that i could have used for fostering.
