The fireworks have been banging away and my wee Levi dog was as scared as ever. Now to my neighbours annoyance we are both listening to Aladdin Sane at a very full volume;) Levi is now a happy doggie:) Neighbour will be less happy but hes got it till 11pm like it or not!

I have heard from others here that "kids" throw eggs at the house or letter box if you don't give them treats. What sort of "trick" is that? Like everything else, people's selfish attitudes have ruined things. Poor Levi! Hope he managed okay. I walk a neighbour's dog who is now totally freaked by thunderstorms after the tree in his front yard got hit by lightning. If it starts to thunder now and there is no-one home in his house he comes up to me, and gets as close as he can, poor old fella.

Levi got through it with the help of MR Bowie Hezz:) I always knew Bowie was a star:)
A couple of years ago on halloween the kids put burning newspaper through my neighbours letterbox very late at night. It was lucky the fumes woke him as his carpet was on the melt!
We've had a strange day here. The fireworks were one thing and a solution could be met sort of, but this afternoon my aged neighbour of 92 years was calling me out of the window when I was going to my car as she couldn't get out of her door. When I went up to her flat I could see that somebody had tried to crowbar off the door handle!
I'm really surprised me and the dog never heard anything last night.. But it beggars belief that anyone would try and break into an old ladys flat. I'm well on guard tonight and from now on. God help their souls if I get my hands on them. Might need God to help my soul afterwards if I do! Dorothy was not in the least bothered that people were trying to break into her flat! We are both going to drink sherry tomorrow as she told me as she can't get out anymore people only bring her boring food and no booze! I think that can be easily rectified;)
Hey Ryan, a shot in the eye?! with what? Fight fire with fire I say. I am tooled up and ready to take anyone on that comes close to my abode. Probably end up doing 5 years for my efforts LOL:) Call the police round here and they'll turn up in 2 days;) No choice but a DIY job and then when you do ......well you know the rest

Even in deepest Sherwood Forest 'wendy' our little dog managed to hear some fireworks from the nearest village/town or whatever! Someone's just let a banger off here and she's gone belting downstairs barking her little head off. Honestly.....why do they all have to 'bang' why can't they just be pretty (or is that too girlie??)
