Thank you all for the get well wishes and help, Edmund now barely has a click and the discharge all seems to have cleared up (thus far) so it looks like the Synulox has cleared up the primary infection and a deep rooted infection that 2 courses of Baytril couldn't fix! I'm so happy, he's come out of his shell even more since this course of treatment (probably because he feels the best he has ever felt) and is even eating different foods that he previously ignored!
I'm very happy with this outcome!

This is fantastic news! Well done on getting him the right help and seeing him to this stage. It is great when you see an ill budgie become well and happy - a real joy.
That is interesting about the food too. Mine have completed rejected their normal foods when ill and resumed them when they are better. I will bear this Synulox treatment in mind if I have to take mine back with resp issues.

excellent news!!
keep up the good work Edmund
wonder if it is worth a sep thread being started, where people can add the treatments they have had, and if they found them good etc
of course, some respond to some and not others, but would all vets know about some of the meds, if not an avian vet, like the Synulox in which case if you see something not working, you could suggest it etc...
if that all makes sense?

Thanks everyone! I would recommend the Synulox to anyone, Baytril is so overused with exotics now that I think it's failing to work for many people, but this did the trick! And it is strawberry flavored so I'm sure Edmund preferred it for that reason alone!
