Hi guys my buds have been breeding and I've got 2 eggs in the nest ones 2 days old 1 laid today no signs of veins yet when should I candle to see signs of fertility and she has incubated for 2 full days and nights

You should be able to start to see something on day 4.

8 days after the incubation starts (not laying).
I only give candling a thought when hen lays her fourth egg.

No sign on day 3 of incubation There shouldn't be any, even if the eggs are fertile. It's too early.

3rd egg laid yesterday she's laying every other day and feeding and behaving fine and incubating all day and night looks like I have a good mum here

I only hope your eggs are fertile, unlike mine. egg 1 laid 5days ago no change egg 2 laid 3 days ago showing veins and a heartbeat egg 3 laid yesterday too early egg 4 due tomorrow will keep everyone updated as they are show breed crossed with standard breed cobalt / black male green/ yellow female hopefully get funky colors

I would leave the first egg just in case it turns out to be fertile give it time to be 100% sure.

Another update her 4th eggs due today but her droppings have gotten smaller and her egg bum has gone down so looks like she's completed her 1st clutch of only 3 only 1 fertile so far never mind hopefully it makes it

Ok today my budgie was spooked by a loud sound she kicked the eggs around trying to escape the nest box so I candles the eggs to check 2 hours later and egg number 2 the only fertile egg out of the 3 has movement to check it wasn't me causing it I held the egg still and there is lots of veins and I can see something red moving left to right the egg is 5 days old is this normal and is it alive
