So My lovely Ghost has been recovering and getting worse again for the last 3 months, and I pretty much had set my mind to her suffering from French moult, but Today I noticed big tooth pick like spikes emerging from her chest, neck and cheecks, So I decided to try and video it (as best as I could) and see what you all think.

Mmmm looks strange, im not sure its consistent with FM, tbh it looks more like she is picking at it, can you see any signs of a lump there?

Doesn't look like either to me. Not FM or normal moulting. Try for still shots rather than the video; it is not easy to get a good look with her jumping around.

Is that another bald patch on the back of her head?
It doesn't look like French Moult. Maybe plucking? Or maybe a localised skin problem? Just guessing here, but something like a ringworm or infection? If it's also on her cheeks or places she can't pluck, then she won't be plucking herself.

not really, i thought it might be one of the other hens might be pestering her, but I've had the one hen that was constantly chasing her around, put in a separate cage for like a month now, and the patch has not got any worse, really since. But I've noticed the big spike like feathers coming through. she could just be regrowing the feather's i'm just not sure.

There is a spray you can get to put on their feathers that tastes horrible so they leave the feathers alone. Not sure what it is called, but also Moogie got an aloe spray for her little guy when he was plucking. Something to think about ......

If she is picking, the spray is called Bitter Apple but make sure it is the one for birds and i would try and spray some on a tissue and rub it on just so you dont spray near her beak and eyes and off course wash your hands well, its foul, i know .
