What would these symptoms be please? I don't think Joey has been in a draught although it was a tad cold yesterday. The heating is on as normal, but the wind changed to to due West which is where our weather comes from. Because it isn't cold enough the central heating doesn't kick in until the radiators are stone cold. I don't' want to put ideas forward until someone has been kind enough to tell me what I should look out for. Thank you in advance.

I worry about draughts too OP so it's good to know what to look out for. Is Joey a bit under the weather?

Thank you Skysmum. Joey was his normal self, he had quite a heavy sneezing session or two. So I moved him into my kitchen which is totally draught free and faces East. There was no cooking going on yesterday so he was safe from any of that. I was very busy erecting partition doors in between the lounge and conservatory so I may have made a bit of dust. Anyway he is fine this morning except he has just bopped his mirror, I've never seen him do that before!!!. Now you know what to look out for Nettles, nice to hear from you again. Thanks again Skysmum.

I forgot to say I moved him back in the lounge so he wasn't on his own. I also half covered his cage which seemd to help as well. So I think it may have been dust. I will move him back in the kitchen before I start work again. Thank you for asking Ffiscool.

He probably enjoyed the move. When I clean B, he moves and suddenly is very animated. He can't stay there as its where I work
Joey is SO coming out of his shell though.

I think he preferred the excursion back to familiar surroundings. Trouble is he has now knocked the mirror so He can't see himself. I'll put it right for him in a moment, if he doesn't.

Glad Joey is ok! Sounds like he's starting to come round to his little buddy in the mirror Melman nudges the mirror now and again, not sure if he's being friendly with it or just trying to make it stop staring at him lol.

I am always wary of drafts too OP especially cause of the weather changing now. But as others have said, its the usual sign of being fluffed up and sleeping a lot. Just for info - if they do suffer like this best thing is to transfer him to a smaller cage with no perches (so he sits on the floor) with a hot water bottle covered with a towel or fleece sat underneath the cage to give him constant warmth. They should not have any toys or stimulation when they are sick and don't know if you have heard of guardian angel? This may be also good to administer too. You can obtain it hereGlad Joey is ok tho! And the mirror bopping sounds very good - you might find that he likes to do it a lot so get the ear plugs at the ready The Mirror bopping is great news!

Glad Joey's bounced back, and this is a good time to make aware just how vulnerable these little guys can be to things we don't even notice.
