Good morning all, I know buds are pretty clever creatures, my 2 little chicks are very tame & respond to simple commands like walk on, no & on your perch when putting them to bed. I was just wondering how I'd go about training them to do more complex things ( not to hard) just simple stuff like flying to me when called or going back to there cage on request maybe whistle on command. I know they can be taught to do these things & so much more I just don't know how to do it. Help please. Kristy

You just need to find a way that works for you ..... such as tap your shoulder and call them if you want them to come, as an example. As with any training, it is all repetition and consistency. Tap the cage and call them when you want them in the cage, etc. Rewarding the positives and ignoring the ones they get wrong.

Try using some food treats and only use these treats for that particular training. If it's millet they like, use a small bit as a reward.
