My budgie, Misty Bloom, died a year ago today. In some ways it feels like she only just passed away, but at the same time, it seems like so much time has passed since I've seen her. Awhile ago, I was looking at the pictures I had taken on my 3DS, and I found some 3D pictures of her. Seeing any picture of her is sad, but seeing her in 3D was really sad. I've had a little photobook made in memory of her though. Maybe I can post some pictures of it later. One of the girls I used to eat lunch with in highschool was also murdered on this day, 6 years ago. So as it's getting closer to 12am now, I'll be glad to see this day go. Rest in peace, Misty Bloom. I'm sorry we didn't get to spend one last Christmas together. I'll love you always. Edit: I added some pictures of her. She used to sit really close to her mirrors, and she'd try to feed her reflections lol. We even named them Righty and Lefty because she had a mirror on each end of her cage. When we first put the mirrors in her cage, she would try to go in the mirror. It was kind of funny, but at the same time I felt sad because she didn't have another budgie to sit with. www.dropbox.com/s/s8iye7se1yhgiar/Misty_5.jpgwww.dropbox.com/s/v9zaf5twnl9i4tt/Misty3Small.jpg

Oh, that's sad. Maybe sometime soon you'll be able to think back and begin to remember more and more of the good things about those who have passed rather than simply feeling the sadness.

Misty Bloom was a very special girl. One day you will remember the good times you had together and smile. Misty would not want you to be sad.

I am so sorry you have experienced these two really sad things. it is strange how certain dates seem to crop up again for other things.
I have a little photo album of my first bud and he is always in my heart and it makes me smile at times still, when I think of some of his antics.
what a lovely name too... Misty Bloom

Thanks everyone. Yeah... Today when I reread what I had posted last night, I realised that I probably should have written more about my memories of her. This post should have been more about her, and less about me. >_<
I've added some photos of her now.

Misty Bloom It is strange that they happened on the same date. My other budgie died this week a few years ago as well. Yeah, it's nice to have photos of them. When I see photos of Misty Bloom hanging upside down or sitting in the water, it helps me remember what a funny bird she was. I'm glad digital cameras have made it easier to take lots of pictures. I had my first two birds before we had a digital camera, so we only have a few pictures of them. Yeah, my sister named her. I don't think my mom liked her name, but I thought it was nice.

Lovely tribute to your little bud, Katie. I do love her "collapsed" pic. Misty Bloom was a pretty girl.

Thanks Hezz. I like that picture too. She wasn't scared of the camera like the other buds were.
