Hi everyone! Please help! When I checked on the birds last night I noticed that Digger kept one of his eyes closed. As it was night I couldn't really tell what the problem was. But this morning when I checked again it looks like his eye is infected. I'm not an expert in this so I'm not completely sure but he keeps it closed but even when it is closed the skin covering his eye is red and puffy. And when it is open (hardly ever) the actual eye is also pinkish. Do u think it is infected and what should i do?! I don't know how long it has been like this or what has caused it but I only noticed today! Thanks in advance, Nicola

Golden eye, you can get it from the chemist. Apply with a cotton bud once a day until the eye has healed. In the mean time try a tea bag, heat it in water then when cool put it to his eye.

Wash your hands after every time you touch the bird or cage as you could get it.

Nic, my advice was going to be the same as @corie's. He is more succinct, though. That's golden eye ointment, you will be looking for.
