Hi all, I'm new here. I have two budgies and the recent/newest one, who I bought three days ago seems to be pooing but there's water or liquid around the poo? I'm not too sure if the budgie is a female or male yet but the cere is a purplish colour, it is a young bird. I've sent a picture, if you have any idea or advice please let me know. Thanks.

hi an welcome to the forum. I can't see the pic of the bird to help you sexing it, as for the poo i'm gonna let the more professional members give an input on that

Welcome. Pretty birds! Might just be settling in time? Others will know...

You have two budgies, with one only being bought a couple of days ago, correct? Firstly this new budgie should be quarantined away from your other bird to make sure you aren't introducing illness or diseases into the house. A new young bird takes a while to settle into a new home, it is a very scary, unsettling period for them, so not at all surprising that it's poop is off. As it is new and young I would be guessing this is the cause, but many things can cause a watery poo, so a bit hard to say off hand.

How old is the budgie which has watery droppings?
Are the droppings in shape, with water around it?
