Some advice needed please from you guys. JoJo's breathing is very laboured. I noticed it last night when it wasn't so noticeable, but overnight it has got decidedly worse. I have separated him from the others, given him Guardian Angel, which I think he had a sip of this morning - not sure, but as I came into the room he was sitting by the drinking station and he wasn't there before. He has since fallen on the floor, but got halfway up the ladder. I have the air filter on full blast and have put some water by by the radiator for humidity. His little cage is half covered and also by the radiator to keep warm. What else can I do please? I really don't want to loose him. It would all happen Christmas day wouldn't it???

So sorry to hear this. I can't offer anything other than what you have already done. And yes, very unfortunate that this should happen during the holiday time. Is there an emergency vet number you can ring??

As Sweetpea said, is there an emergency number?
I can only advise to make sure there is a soft landing if he falls. Put a towel at the bottom of the cage. Also make sure food and water is easily accessible.
He may need antibiotics.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I have managed to 'borrow' some Ivermectin and have just administered that, under the beak on the skin, so fingers crossed it will help. JoJo has had some Guardian Angel as well, I saw him drink it, no food taken as yet tho. He is also pooping well, albeit a bit runny. I shall be keeping an eye on him all day.

Give him millet As he won't take millet Marianne Marlow, should I offer apple or carrot or celery, he will eat any of those usually, but at present he does have slightly wet pooops.

Glad to report that JoJo has eaten some seed as well as millet. I have now put him in a small carry cage as he has been quite active and keeps getting into scrapes in the cage he was in. He can't move round too much in the small one so won't hurt himself. There are no perches, just seed and water and very soft flooring. Just keeping my fingers crossed now for through the night. Btw, his poops are now completely white, and watery as well - any ideas as to what would cause this anyone??

Oh, Shirls, this doesn't sound good. If there's only white in JoJo's poop, it's likely he's not getting sustenance from his food so there's some sort of internal disturbance going on. It could be a number of things, maybe his kidneys not working properly, but it needs proper investigation.
Give him some millet in the small cage as well. The guardian angel too.
Have you got a good vet?

So sorry to read about this, Shirls. If you need to speak to a vet on emergency basis, google Royal Dick Vet - they have a round the clock tel service.

Oh, no. Sorry to heat that Jojo isn't well. It seems you are doing about all there is to be done without a vet visit. Hoping and praying Jojo is rallying with all the love he is surrounded by.

Would advise against fresh veg atm - but can you soak some millet in guardian angel? That might make him take on some food x
