I would like to thank everyone who reassured me during this week. My budgies are fine and I am finally seeing my own health improve. Our health care system doesn't work so well anymore. My husband who has the same thing works next week (he took a week off without pay after working sick last week) so he tried to go see a doctor. He ended up waiting six hours in a waiting room and coming back home. At my worst this week my daughter was telling me I had a pneumonia. I do have a short video of my labored breathing at night with whistling and clicking noises from my lungs. Had the opportunity to try much over the counter meds, my favorite turns out to be Buckley syrup. My second favorite thing was eucalyptus bath salts. The birds room was not cleaned for a week, it was pretty shameful. Finally yesterday I put on a medical mask went in and did the whole room, it took me all day but at the end of the day I was quite proud. Each feeder was overflowing as I just kept piling on new food each day. They still got clean water every day though. I felt very sorry for my birds this week. None of them got sick so that is the essential. I have added an air purifier since this event. It's not the one I wanted but the one I could afford. The purifier has to be in the middle of the room. Instructions say three feet from any wall, lol.

You poor thing! Glad you feel a bit better. You probably should get checked over if you can. Glad the buds are ok.

You poor thing! Glad you feel a bit better. You probably should get checked over if you can. Glad the buds are ok. The last time I got medical care I was brought in the emergency room in convulsions. That was quite some time ago. Our medical system is falling apart and I thought if my husband could see a doctor then I might try. His attempt just showed me that our system is still very pathetic. Very few people have family doctors here. They are the lucky ones. I just think it's inhumane that I can get medical care easier for my birds and cats then myself. If my vet made me wait six hours in the waiting room I probably would not have animals. However our medical system sees us as beneficiaries so no wait is too long for humans. If I need an ambulance (thought imminent death was upon me) then I would seek medical attention until then I can take care of myself. I am quite lucky in that our system has two speeds though. Like my daughter works for an important company so there is a doctor on hand where she works. She can take an appointment and they call her at her desk. My other daughter works for a bank and they paid long ago to have her vaccinated. She did not catch this so I am happy at least my girls are taken care of. The youngest got it and had barely any symptoms, she was vaccinated the year before. All is well that ends well.
