Move the surface booster over to expose what is melted on the sides of the bottle. ![](http://i1055.photobucket.com/albums/s501/bbbirdie/d166839f-67bc-47b1-a695-a79bc197eebb_zpse16b22bd.jpg) ![](http://i1055.photobucket.com/albums/s501/bbbirdie/f0fb70c1-23c6-4c6d-82a3-9604e7df5840_zpsdbf4c3f8.jpg) Mix extremely well, shake after to make sure there are no lumps. ![](http://i1055.photobucket.com/albums/s501/bbbirdie/4b83e12f-dddf-4333-a172-ea63acd0c0f2_zpsaddd5dee.jpg) These cheap feeders can do the job, fill and watch the birds enjoy. ![](http://i1055.photobucket.com/albums/s501/bbbirdie/5eaafb8a-d64f-40ab-8466-92f413449dd0_zps80c82af6.jpg) If your birds don't like pellets you can add them to something they like. My birds love carrots. ![](http://i1055.photobucket.com/albums/s501/bbbirdie/7e1e1ec6-80fb-4826-bc0b-c986a8df4f66_zps15f25952.jpg) Make a fruit salad for your family and give the birds a taste.

Awesome ! May I borrow some food and fruits... ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Lol, it would be nice to make a big batch of home made food and share with other bird owners. I tried ordering some from Dr Foster and Smith and they are not allowed to send their bulk foods to Canada. It would save us too much money and take away money from the greedy pet shops. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

we get only white millets at pet stores in our city here and that's what our shop keepers advise us to feed the budgies.. so, I had to research web and create mixed food which includes : White Millet Oats Black Mustard seeds Sesame seads Pearl Millet Groundnuts Fried Yellow Lentils/Toor dal Soyabeans Cumin seeds Fenugreek Green Gram Corriander seeds aniseeds Dried Green Peas Most of the above stuff are used in day-to-day food that we (humans) eat in India. So, it was just a matter of searching in the kitchen... ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Other than the seeds, fresh veggies, spinach, corriandar leaves, mint leaves etc..

You worked really hard to make a balanced diet for your bird. I don't know if I could do so well in your situation. I have never been to India but I am old enough to know that in life we do what we can, not what we want. I have seen some very ingenious people raising birds in India. The beautiful pots they use as nests impress me. It takes a big heart to work so hard to make a lovely life for a pet. I know also that not many people understand the reality some people have to deal with and are not understanding.
