My suspected French Moult budgie Edmund passed away very suddenly this afternoon, although he was happy and chirping this morning. I'm devastated, he'd only begun to truly get on his feet since I rescued him in Oct. 2012 - he'd begun to play a lot more when he initially didn't even know what to do with toys, eat different types of food and sing and have time outside of his cage. He'd even just become finger trained despite being nearer wild previously. He was very much loved and I'm devstated, but so happy that I managed to give him a year and a half of happy pain free life before this. RIP my lovely sweet boy.

I am very sorry to hear about your loss of sweet Edmund! I can totally understand your pain, I lost my first budgie after just 2 month of unknown causes... And I know how sad it is! I send you power to come over this painful time!

I'm sure you gave him much more than time. I think this forum makes us better. I bet he ate well and had many distractions and good care, moreover he knew your kindness.

Night night little guy. Is that Edmund in your avatar? It is, that photo was taken about 2 weeks ago and that's the best his feathers have ever looked (he came to me with no feathers on his left wing and various other feather abnormalities). He really didn't have the best start in life so I'm happy he had some pain/stress free time with me. Thank you for the condolences thus far everyone
