You should not have two pairs in one cage. The Hens get aggressive when they have chicks and can kill each others chicks. One pair to one cage.

Hi and welcome. This cage is fine for one pair, if you divide it it will be too small. If you imagine that one pair could have say around 7 chicks there will not be enough room to accommodate them all in just half of the cage.

All kinds of things can happen when breeding. One of the parents may start attacking their own young and may need to be separated. These attacks can lead to the death of a young bird. Also when the babies are old enough you will want to have a cage for them too. In this video you see a mother being beaten up by one of her six babies. They don't live in the same cage for this reason. I don't let them out at the same time anymore. s1055.photobucket.com/user/bbbirdie/media/FreeforAll023_zps50838339.mp4.html

Hi and welcome to forum Get another cage of the same size, as this one looks big enough for one pair only. You will also be covered for any unwanted situation, if any. Has the hen laid any eggs yet? Because moving the nest boxes would be a problem, if they have.

A female can attack and kill another females chicks, it will cause problems to keep two females in one breeding cage. One pair in each cage is better.
