What a lovely garden and park for the bird jj, my birds love lemongrass best. Although that oat grass is their second favorite. I have seen the shells you are talking about and tried to order, they are so pretty, sadly they are not allowed to send them into Canada. I think they are really pretty in the cage. Many people in the States have this in their bird cages. Dr Foster and Smith have on stock and they are not bad for the feet at all.

You are going all out to please your bird.

I've put his newspaper down and had one last rearrange of his cage haha got my mate coming tonight for a drink hoping a bottle or two of vino will help me sleep haha X

Quebec, but sometimes I think it's getting closer to the Antarctic. I use bottled water but that is because I don't like to drink the water from the tap, it smells fishy. I sometimes used cooled down boiled water too, I shake it vigorously to oxygenate beforehand.
If his bottle drinker has rubber that is where the bacteria likes to grow. I soak these in boiling water each time. I use the lixit, the big rubber stoppers rapidly proliferate bacteria. I found a study on water that found that most water systems get contaminated like this. The slimy biofilm of bacteria like rubber apparently. However bleach ruins rubber. The smaller plastic bottles should not be soaked in boiled water they will deform.

No, I haven't. Wood is the best. Provide the calcium in food. hi budgiesbuddy I was thinking more for his claws and beak it might be beneficial as I've seen a few posts about claws over growing and needing trimming and thought this May reduce the chances of that happening but if you don't recommend then I'll save myself a few quid it's not like I haven't spent a fortune already I just can't help looking for more stuff for the future Kenny comes home on Saturday and I can't wait Hi there I never provided mine with anything like this and never had to clip beaks or toe nails of anyone, so saving a few quid is better idea. However, you spent money at the right place by getting this ply gym. I like it

Classical music really helped calm my Elfie down when he came home to me ,im so excited you have FINALLY got him awww moogie just b4 we left (popped out for lunch so he can have some quiet) he climbed up side of cage and sat himself on his perch! I've covered 3sides of his cage too so he feels safe and left classical fm on so glad to hear it was a good choice of radio not into classical myself but seemed the obvious choice! He really is stunning didn't want to go out for lunch but know it's best to leave him a couple hours and if I was home I'd have my face shoved up against the cage staring at him every five mins haha it's my partners birthday tomorrow so have to show him some attention this weekend too haha x

When i put them to bed i always now put classical music on for them ha ha they seem to love it and settle down to it grinding beaks ect they seem to favour violin sounds and flutes for some reason teehe very cute!!! Elfie was stuck in the same place for quite a few days but after a while he started moving around a little... Kenny is so lucky to have found you as his mum,he will be spoilt rotten (even more than before he arrived ) I found reading in a real soft voice also helped alot...xxxxx
