Each side of that cage is too small for the 2 birds you have in there right now. When there are possibly 7 babies in each side it will be very cramped. You need the cage full size with 2 birds and another one for the other pair. It doesn't matter how many times you post the same question, the answer will always be the same. There is not enough room for all the birds plus any chicks in that cage.

I wouldn't breed two couples in that cage. They make those more for finch breeding. You can get very cheep breeding cages online but I am not sure what country you are in so you may not have access to buy from the sites I post. I would hold off till you can get some stackable cages. This way you can separate the mother for instance if she attacks the babies. After the babies are eating well and dad has taught them to eat seed you can put the babies in their own cage. You will know by watching them when they are old enough, with mine the parents wouldn't feed them anymore and they were all eating by themselves. You can probably find them cheeper than this but here is a cage you can stack and adapt by putting the perches in the other direction. It's good if there is side doors for the nest too. www.wayfair.com/Prevue-Hendryx-Stackable-Flight-Table-Top-Bird-Cage-SPF0610-PVP1137.html

yes i know.i will remove the babies untill full grown can a pair of budgies keep them outside in my yard??? There would be enough room for one pair and their chicks in the cage without the separator. Could you breed one pair at a time. Let the first pair breed and raise their chicks then move them out and put the other pair in to breed. What are you going to do with the chicks when they are fully grown? Do you have another cage for them? Do you have a cage for emergencies? Why can't you have 2 cages where the cage you have now is? I don't know what the weather is like in Malta so can't say if it would be ok for them to be outside. The person to ask would be kikkinu. You need to get the birds you already have sorted out before you breed. They need toys, something to play with. The plastic perches need to be replaced with wooden ones. You need to give them a diet suitable for them to breed and raise chicks. That included egg food, fresh vegetables and fruit. It's not good to just give them seed, there is not enough vitamins and minerals in it. They also need an iodine block. When you have all that in place and the birds are happy and healthy maybe then think about breeding. At the moment they look like very sad little birds.

i've had budgies outside before, but they where on a terrance and under the stairs leading to the roof, so it was away from any winds. plus in winter I would take them the washroom every night, it gets too cold.
What I would recommend for carlos really is to get another one of those cages, take one of the side doors out and join the 2 cages together.
I tried it before with 2 breeding boxes on each end, and it worked fine. When the hens get aggressive cause they've laid eggs, each of the hens tend to stay in their respective cages, and the males still the company of each other while the hens are on the eggs. And you can still enjoy some time watching them.
