You have very interesting and good pairs. Looking forward to chicks pictures I like many mutations which I can't get here. From the ones I have, I like Pieds and Yellowfaces.

Almost all budgies are imported here, especially the big ones. So we get breeders' excess/useless stock. I have never seen an Ino cock for sale anywhere here.

Not yet Darren has I have only had them for 8 days. I had bought two pairs with the possible thought of breeding at a later date, however my green cock and grey hen are getting into some serious bonding these last few days, so perhaps it may be sooner than I expected. I have ordered two breeding cages so that I have them ready, but I don't plan on putting them in there yet. These are the ones I got www.fw-whitchurch.co.uk/budgie-breeding-cage-with-nesting-boxMy grey hen was quite stressed with the move to her new indoor aviary at our house (2 hour drive) but after giving them all some fresh food mix with egg, spinach, broccoli, carrot, coriander and red pepper, sprinkled with some Guardian Angel, garlic powder and adding some Calcivet in their water, she has come on so strong, a totally different bird, and I think this has cheered up her mate who has been feeding and preening her non stop the last 48 hours or so. I'm so pleased to see that she has changed and has brightened up so much, I was very worried. How long have you been breeding buds for? Regards

You are clearly doing something right then Darren, well done! I want to build an outdoor aviary now utilising my current 7x5 shed and adding a raised outside flight. I have a spare bedroom in the house which I call my man cave where I build my large model radio controlled planes, where I now have my indoor aviary, but the budgie bug has bitten me, and it looks like all of my model plane gear will be removed so I can add an area for the breeding cages as well as a juvenile flight. I only have a relatively small garden so I cannot build a purpose-built bird room out there, it would just have to be an aviary with a small area inside the shed for equipment storage etc. However if I do start breeding indoors, I would have to sound proof the connecting wall with my neighbour, but that won't be a hard job. I'll keep an eye on your progress

Sounds impressive, and I can see how it really does progress with the amount of sheds you've gone through, lol Perhaps I'll just buy a bigger shed and start from there rather than changing this one and then doing it all over again?
