So far I have one egg bum and that's it! I've yet to set up more birds, but it's still early in the year, things will soon be under way One egg bum:

Hi there that's a nice hen ,yeah u can tell hopefully eggs soon , Av got two chicks in one box with two eggs still to hatch 5 in other box 5in another and another 5 in another one all fertile two chicks in another box and 3 boxes empty

Plenty to keep you busy then are they all exhibition birds? I have one big fluffy boy I would love to breed but he is so mellow and loves his boy friend so much I don't hold out much hope he's such a big fluff ball!

Aww that's such a shame Av only got so many exhibition budgies , hi bb Av got 8 pair down the now 3 boxes still empty no eggs yet

Was thinking letting them have two rounds each the now depending on first rounds , prob have a few months off start again in summer but will see how birds are and in condition at the time but will see wat about use guys , i enjoy watching the chicks grow up its nice to see how much they change everyday

Two rounds are what most breeders initially go for. Some good pairs are allowed to have a third clutch and the eggs are then transferred to some other hen for incubation. It's so fascinating to see the chicks grow. They are such beautiful little creatures

Yeah Av read that on some sites Av had one pair down for two rounds but they have started 3rd round of eggs but Av put them out other hens yeah its great to see the colours of the chicks
