Ah they look cracking Darren. I'm not bothered about what colours I get really, so long as I have some hatch and that they are healthy and strong. So looking forward to starting

So you have a Dominant Pied Cobalt cock and Normal Grey hen. If they are not split for anything, you should get around 25% of each of the following...
Greys, Dominant Pied Greys, Blues, Dominant Pied Blues

George and Mildred were put into the breeding cage on Saturday, but she hasn't even been inside the nest box yet. She is still showing affection towards George, but he doesn't seem to be like how he was when they were in the aviary, i.e. reciprocating the affection. How long should I give them before putting them back in the aviary, or should I just put George back and replace him with Tom, even though he has never shown anything towards Mildred?

If nothing has happened in six weeks put them back in the flight for two weeks than re-pair and change the partner.

6 weeks? Wow, didn't think that long, I will leave them then. My impatience shows
Thanks Corie

It's a waiting game Budgies Retreat Keep an eye on the hen. She shouldn't get very edgy. Some hens do so from week 4 or so and need break in the flight.

Will do BB. Thanks again I was just in the bird room when I noticed Tom and Betty were preening each other, so I shall keep an eye on them, and if necessary I'll have to get the other breeding cage ready also!
