hello I couldn't find any better board to ask such question. Can any one tell me the age of my budgies, cuz I want to breed them and I've read that they can't be less than 9-12 month. here are they (Adam in the back, Eve front). Plus Adam's eyes(not clear in the pic) have that brown color surrounding his iris. I did make some researches, but the eyes thing got me lost Thanks in advance

They are babies still, nour90. As Moogie says probably about two months' old only. To be sure, give it until this time next year before breeding, or 12 months from the time you brought them home, at least. These little guys haven't even been through their first moult yet.

4 tablespoons is a huge amount. Do you mean 4 dessert spoons (or even tea spoons). My 5 don't get through a dessert spoon of food a day!

I think they should be fine, but they may have a bit of funny poop. And a belly-ache! That was supposed to be runny poop, but I will leave the funny in ....... it could look a bit weird. If their poo does come through looking very wet and green, just lay off the fresh food for a day or two, until they are back to normal, then try again, but little bits this time.

Don't leave fresh food in the cage for more than 4 to 5 hours.

That's good. As other's have said, every other day or even every 3 days will be more than enough for them. I use broccoli, spinach, coriander, carrot, red pepper and hard boiled egg. I make enough to freeze and then defrost a little at a time. It's not mega fresh that way, but it is freshly frozen after making and only a small amount of goodness is lost. It's difficult making tiny batches of fresh food when fresh ingredients usually come in portions that are suitable for humans, so unless you're prepared to waste loads of food, just make it up and freeze it. I bought 10 tiny little Tupperware pots with lids from one of those pound shops, and just use them. Defrost slowly overnight in the fridge for the following day. I know when my grey hen has eaten it because she has full green beard afterwards
