Hi! I am moving house soon and my new landlord won't allow my birds ( I have 2 females, both pet shop bought, about 2 years old. They live together and are a bit of a grumpy pair, not hand tamed but will happily fly around and then back to their cage - Sky & Storm I also have 4 french moulters who I rescued from a local breeder's chopping block. The eldest is 8 months old. I need sympathetic loving homes asap please! We are in Warwickshire. If you know of any bird sanctuaries or anyone who can give these little ones a new home please let me know!

I'm so sorry to hear that you have to rehome your budgies I hope you find great homes for them. Maybe some photos would help?

Just hide them in a cupboard! You'll have to teach them to be quiet on command, first, though!

Howdy Any luck yet? I have a possible home for my 2 females, but the runners are gonna be harder I think. I don't think general public understand what I'm talking about lol! I have a number for a local small animal rescue so I may give them a ring as back up. *sigh*

Have you got pictures of the french moulters, ideally the wings and tail areas so we can see how different a setup they made need.
My French Moulter is currently in a cage with another bird who can not fly I don't think it would house another 4 however.

My French Moulter is currently in a cage with another bird who can not fly I don't think it would house another 4 however. At the moment they are in a long homemade cage. I shall try and get some pics of them later (if they stand still lol!) 3 are flappers, but Scraggy Annie has to climb & jump. I'm really pleased with the response of PL actually - there's a small pet/bird sanctuary near to me and another gentleman who has an indoor and an outdoor aviary. Plus a lot of people interested in the females. I'm gonna go have a look at the sanctuary, they sounded really friendly and said we could visit our birds whenever we wanted, which may sweeten the pill for the kids' sake! And I would rather they all go together so this may be the best option.

i take it this is a sanctuary that will not rehome them?
If they can not fly they can live in an aviary however make sure they know they must provide plenty of ladders and platforms and ideally a low down feeding station for them as well. Also to be mindful of any big drops if they have no flight/ gliding ability.
If they are able to glide they will do well in an aviary.
