I noticed yesterday that one of my older hens in the aviary is holding her wings away from her body yet its not that warm for her to be doing this , the cock bird that she mated with last year is feeding her a lot as they seemed to be paired up even though there are no nest boxes in there and are just all lose in there together. What could be causing her to act like this ?.

Sometimes they do do this even when it isn't terribly hot. Maybe she was just having a hot flush.

My Mildred does this sometimes, but she is absolutely fine. Sometimes she holds them out a little, other times I've seen them out quite a way, but she is eating, drinking and pestering George for you know what, but he's stubborn, just like the real George!

Maybe she flew a lot.

Or could she be cheesed off with another bud? They do "eagle" when they are cross about something too...perhaps the cock bird said her new outfit weren't that great or something?

She seemed to have them down when I went in there this morning, but as soon as the cock bird went to her she put them out again and he fed her , my hubby said she`s acting like a youngster to be fed .?
