Hello, Puglin and Pop, and welcome. Does Pop fly at all; does he grow his flight feathers back at any stage? Is he caged on his own, or with the others? Is he still young and energetic, or older and slowing down? If he is a non-flier, you can set up his cage so that perches run from one to the other, allowing him to use the whole of the cage and get to seed pots and drinkers. Small platforms at change over stops seem to be appreciated as well. Food and water close to perches so he can easily reach; high protein foods to help him with his new feather growth ....... I am sure others will have many other suggestions to make.

He doesnt fly at all and the few feathers that try to grow out break off fast so his cage is set up pretty much as yoy wrote apart from platforms. He as very easy acces to everything but i just thought there might be somethong more i could do. He was with the pair first but got bullied so i moved him to his own place and got him a girlfriend and that went great for awhile until she wanted to mate but he just kept falling off and getting hurt and she was way to young anyway so he has his own place next to his girlfriend so they are 2 cm apart. Poor little Pop. Although he sounds like he is happy even though he cannot fly. Kudos for taking such good care of him.

Thanks. He was like this when i got him. I saved him and the pair that are breeding now from a socalled breeder. I walked kn and see them and said thats it he had 2 options. O took the birds or i called animal welfare. He just said take them then. My boy Pop is a very happy boy and gets around just fine. He loses his balance now and then but i have soft bedding in a pillowcase in the bottom of his cage so when he does fall he lands softly. Needs to be cleaned everyday but worth it. I just feel sorry for him as he had a girlfriend but it got dangerous as she kept trying to mate and he fell alot and then she started picking on him so he has to be alone but is only 2cm away from her and seems very happy with that.
