Hi all I am new to budgie breeding,i have two cocks and two hens in an outdoor aviary, they don't seem to do much just sitting on one of the perches all together, from time to time they will have a mad moment and the blue male is quite chatty with one of the hens.
I have put two nestboxes up but they do not seem to be interested, they have been in the aviary for a week now, they came from an outdoor aviary and are 12 months old.
Am I doing it right your input would be most appreciated. many thanks Daniel

Colony breeding is not a good idea. And it is very early to expect them to breed. They are in a new aviary, have not settled down enough to breed.

They also need to be in breeding condition, as well as top health. Remove the nest boxes for now. You will have much better chances later. I will post some links to help you with this situation.
