It wasn't too cold today actually. just the temperature I like. I do not survive well in the heat!

I think you maybe one of the very few Londoners who like it cold I'd say that would partly depend on how long you have to spend on the tube I hardly go on the tube these days. But when I did it was like a sauna! Used to use the Jubilee Line everyday from Canary Wharf to Westminster, was PACKED!

Looks charming, Marianne. I spent a month in London in Feb, brrrr, many years ago and I liked the place, especially all the free things to see - galleries and museums etc. I had three parks to walk through - Holland Park, Hyde Park and can't think of the last. Those people on the yachts have to be crazy! That water would be freezing.

Google maps gave me the answer - Kensington Gardens. I stayed at the YHA Holland House. I loved that they still had the sandy track around the edge of Hyde park for the horses. But there are some lovely green areas all over which was really nice, being a country girl in the big smoke.
