i have tow budgie ...they breed tow times ...the first in december ...and the second in februray....since februray the stop breeding ....i nedd to know why ...and what i can do to make them breed again ...sorry for my bad english

totti, budgies need to be given a break from breeding. Most breeders will only allow their breeders two clutches in a row before separating them to allow the hen to have a break. If you continue to push your birds into breeding over and over you are going to kill your hen. She is the one most at risk. Give her a break of at least three months, but more like six months is far better. Help her regain her strength by a high protein diet and increased calcium. Her body would be well depleted by now. I am sure our breeders will be able to give you better advice than myself, but I am fairly sure they too will tell you to give the birds a break.

thanks hezz...but i dont know why they stop because they are still together ....iam afraid may be there is something wrong with them ...or its normal to stop on there own and i should not worry on them ?

If a hen breeds continuously, she is not well.
If a hen stops breeding after a clutch or two, she is good and well.

many breeding budgies can stay together as a breeding pair even though they are not breeding x
