Stace, what do you mean by Yucca pieces? actually from a house plant ( I have 3 enormous ones)or something you buy, sorry to be so thick! suesbird, is this what your plants look like? If so, then it is bird-safe. I don't know whether you would need to dry them first, but one of the friendly on-line places, such as northern parrots, may be able to tell you. images of yukkas

Just to be clear, I don't know anything about making them from plants yourself. I just know you can buy them pre-prepared for parrots. They call them bird kabobs or yucca chips usually.
