He has been in my mind fro a few weeks now so I wanted to check how he was. He sounded just the same as when I left. He did say that he still talks to Whiskers forgetting he wasn't there. I really felt for him as I know how it would be for myself. I'm glad I rang him up in the end.

Joey is still surprising me. He has never, ever bothered with a mirror that has been in his cage from day one. It has been hanging at the side of the cage as there is not enough room anywhere else. Whiskers has played with this mirror quite a lot, especially the plastic bit underneath the fake flower. Today Joey has been giving this mirror big licks, bashing it against the bars. At one point he had one foot on the bars whilst swinging the bell, attached to the bottom, against the bars. What is this all about? Whiskers was just stood watching him like he'd flipped his lid or something. Now he has gone to his usual perch but is hiding behind the cuttlebone. The mirror Joey sulking

It is amazing and fascinating to watch everything change when a new budgie arrives. Just when you think you know one of their personalities, it changes!

I know what it is. There is also some on Whiskers but it doesn't show up so much. They have been tucking in to the millet grass. Nothing like having fresh grown.

Here they are in action, it's a bit long because it is uncut.

Wow, is that millet grass that high from the ground or the table? That's a fine crop you have there. I must try growing some. It's so nice to see them contentedly munching away side by side like they've been buddies for years.

It's so nice to see them contentedly munching away side by side like they've been buddies for years. The pot the grass is in stands on the window ledge about 1 foot below the table. To say it has been less than 2 months since they met they have bonded with each other so well it is like they have always been together. They are learning from each other all the time, but they are retaining their individual characters. Joey is the placid, calm, laid back one whilst Whiskers is full of life and go. He is never still for long, and will approach me as I approach the cage. He also the least afraid of standing on me anywhere except the finger.
