I am thinking this is NOT a good idea but am going to put it out there anyway. The room I have Booji in has 2 windows and he gets to fly around daily. I just returned from a trip and my husband, who tended to him while I was gone, suggested we put a bird feeder outside one or both of the windows so he could see other birds. (He does call out and go back and forth with them sometimes if they are close). Anyway, this seems like a nightmare in the making to me - I guess I just picture hoards of birds all gathered at the windows. So I was wondering if anyone did this or has any commentary? Incidentally, the curtains get closed during flying time but still.... Thanks! Jackie

Hmm, I'm thinking it might be like a kind of torture for him? Budgies like to be in flock or at least a pair. Its kinda like waving it in his face but not letting him quite have it? Some things are better not known about if they can never be had. I don't mean that to sound horrible, but I know how budgies hanker after bird company.

I am with Nat, Jackie. It may just be a little cruel to entice the wild birds closer to him.

Thanks Nat and Hezz - I agree and actually I didn't look at it that way really so now I definitely won't do it.

Get Booji a new budgie friend Not always a person's personal preference, BB. It doesn't fit everyone's situation. That is very much Boojiman's decision to make and I can't agree with people being bullied into getting another if it isn't what they want. Sorry, and not really a go at you, but I have seen and heard it happen before.

Relax Hezz It was just a friendly suggestion as the post sounded to me like they were not home for a while and they wanted him some company.

Thanks Hezz and thanks too BB for the suggestion - I have already considered a bud and maybe down the line but not now. We are home most of the time so he gets plenty of interaction. My husband suggested it and I told him I would post it on the forum to see what people's thoughts were about it.
