Sorry to hear that JennyB, I think perhaps I should have remembered this. ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cry.png) That's good that you are learning and keeping occupied. Believe me there is a lot to learn about both budgies and chickens! Not at all. I think I've only mentioned it once before. Speaking of books earlier. Is there any you'd recommend for budgies?

Yes, I'd also love to know about any good budgie books that anyone can recommend.

I haven't yet found a good budgie book, the few that I have only tell me what I already know. We also learn a lot about our own individual budgies as we go along of course. (Plus of course we have this wonderful forum if we get stuck!!) Other than this I can only recommend researching on-line and sifting through stuff.

The thing is, they are all still babies. Bea's comb is just becoming a bit more pronounced. Although I love their baby like antics I can's wait to see them with their full grown combs and wattles and adult feathers.

Why are they sleeping in all the pictures I must admit I have taken a lot of pics of the chooks while they were asleep, but I think, because they were really poorly when I got them (I didn't know at the time) I found they did sleep a lot. But despite their size they are still babies and I have noticed that they still like to have several 'naps' throughtout the day. Gladly they are all getting better now, clean bill of health from the vet. Also the temperatures were high up in the 20's so they slept in the shade a lot then.
