So I was thinking of having trays of seed shoots as they flooring in the bottom of my aviary to a) make use of all the spilt seed and b) have less cleaning to do. I was also thinking of getting 2 female quails to rove around the bottom. I don't want to bred them, so see no need for a male and there *shouldn't* be any fighting between two of the same. Does anyone have quails in their aviary, if so is it worth it or what are some problems with having them? In general is it a valid idea or just a terrible one? Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated!

Hi CL, I have tried this, with all the poo from the budgies etc., it goes sour, quail are fine on concrete and will eat all the husks the budgies drop, they are good at cleaning up including any insects, just put a box in for them to shelter in
