I've had a look online, but all that did was worry me. I'm new to posting on here, please stick to the end, sorry about the waffle.
My budgie is a few years old, and female. She's been staying with my gran for 3 weeks, who feeds ger quite extensively. Apparently my gran was worried about her being ill, then she started malting really heavily apparently, but then went back to normal. She's come home us and is acting weird, bothering us more than normal when we eat, finding new perches, and flying funny/missing her perch/falling off (probably because of loss of tail feathers).
But all that could be nothing, gran tends to overfeed her anyway.
Then she had this seizure or something.
She arched her back and stuck her tail in the air, her pupils went all small and she let us stroke her when she usually tries to bite us. This lasted for about a minute, then she went back to normal completely...
Any ideas or advice will be greatly appreciated, as we don't have pet insurance, so can't just take her to the vet unless we need to, thankyou.

That does sound worrying. Are you in the UK? I think it would be worth getting her checked out if possible by an avian vet or one that has an interest in birds. It would put your minds at rest and there might be nothing or she might need meds

Search google for local avian vets.

Or call a few vets and ask if they have one or those knowledgable with birds

Well I'm blessed.....this forum is wonderful, I would never have thought of that not having been in 'that position' with my birdies. Fantastic
