First one is that i have just treated all my flock externally with ivermectin on the backs of there necks just as a precaution but should i use any ivermectin colution also in there drinking water?
Also how often should i worm them and whats the best stuff to use.

Hi Serz, I am sure that ivermectin does both internal and external parasites, with the drop on the base of the neck being all that is needed. If you have treated them with the drop, dosing the water could be overdosing them. I don't know what the outcome of that would be.
Every six months seems to be the preventative treatment with incoming birds being treated in quarantine, but not birds raising chicks. Some breeders in Australia do theirs every 3 months. Chicks at somewhere between 6-12 weeks of age.
Of course any bird showing signs of mites will need to be dosed there and then.

Thanks ;D Serz you must follow all instructions supplied by the makers , where did the idea of adding ivermectin to water come from ? This product will also kill worms

I read a thread on here Barrie saying that you can get water soluble ivermectin?? Thanks hezz that's great. I've done them with the drops behind the neck so I can rest now
