Hi,
If we find dead chicks in the nest box between ages of 2 - 30 days with full crop and no sign of injury on them. What will be possible causes?
I think I asked about mortality of chicks between ages of 30 - 45 days in other thread which Barrie helped me understand.
Thanks,

I am getting dead chicks in nest boxes and this has really made me mad.
Don't know what wrong is going on. They get best food and warmth, why dead chicks with full crop with no fights between hens.
FYI - 70% of hens are maiden hens, will it be a cause?

I am really sorry for the chicks Tariq. What is the general health level of your flock? Are you sure there is no disease?

Thanks BB and Barrie.
Barrie - If I stop breeding for few months, will bacteria vanish by it self? Last week I gave them a 8 days dose of Exotetracycline.
What is Ivermectine? for what desease it is best?

Tariq i believe you are poisioning them without realising it, never give meds during breeding as the water consumption rises not only by feeding parents but by the chicks also, they are getting overdosed on meds.
